Situated on the coast of Kiwengwa this much smaller hotel is fortunately not in the middle of all the Italian resorts and hotels This is a small family run hotel and is a lot more intimate than many of the larger hotels It looks like a much smaller version of the larger resorts with a thatch makuti roof building nestled in lovely gardens The atmosphere is very friendly which we think is the result of the managers who are exceptionally friendly people The rooms are very basic and there are bandas Zanzibar type huts on the beach for the barefoot budget traveller Downside to the place is that it does not really have any facilities There is no pool or diving The place is perfect if you just want to lie on the beach and relax

Rooms The 14 thatched guestrooms connected by sandy paths are very comfortable Although simply decorated they have a romantic feel with purple batik bedspreads white curtains and hibiscus flower decorations

The ten Seaview Cottages set away from the bar and restaurant are by far the best and most private option These spacious en-suite rooms feature traditional Zanzibari-style furniture air conditioning as well as ceiling and table fans and private verandas with wonderful sea views Four of the Sea View Cottages have been especially designed for families They have a large double room closet shower and WC on the ground floor and a staircase leading up to a twin bedded room in the roof space The four en-suite Garden Lodge rooms are closer to the bar restaurant and pool They have terraces leading onto a tropical garden There are two interconnecting rooms for families

Facilities Magnificent infinity swimming pool While there is no diving school or water sports centre the hotel will arrange scuba diving PADI courses snorkelling fishing boat trips and windsurfing with nearby operators at no extra charge
