Welcome to the Mount Nelson Hotel - Nestling at the foot of Table Mountain and set in nine acres of lush gardens the Mount Nelson Hotel is one of Cape Town s most elegant hotels offering unparalleled tradition history and luxury

Directions Directions from Cape Town International Airport Proceed from the airport buildings onto the N2 highway staying on the right hand side of the left lane in the direction of City or Cape Town the other direction will be Somerset West

Continue along the N2 highway past all the off-ramps and after you pass the Liesbeek Parkway offramp get into the lane second from the right following the signs to the City

You will pass under two bridges and at the third bridge the road forks with the option of an offramp to the left or a bend to the right Follow the bend to the right and the N2 will then merge with the M3 to form five lanes of traffic - the road then forks with the two left lanes forming De Waal Drive and the two right lanes forming Eastern Boulevard Ensure that you move into one of the two left lanes as you need to proceed along De Waal Drive

Continue along De Waal Drive which winds its way around the foot of Table Mountain

As you pass under an overhead walkway slow down as just before the overhead road bridge you need to take the offramp left into Mill Street if you continue under the bridge the road becomes Roeland Street

Continue along Mill Street which then changes its name to Orange Street passing through two sets of traffic lights

Beforethe pedestrian traffic lights on your left-hand side you will see the landmark Prince of Wales Pillars signifying the entrance to the Mount Nelson Hotel

Waterfront - Complimentary transfers are available to the Waterfront throughout the day and take 10 - 15 minutes

Cape Town Railway Station - Transfers are available to Cape Town railway station for the Blue Train and Rovos Rail connections Distance to the station is 3 km

Car Rental - This can be easily arranged on arrival at our Concierge desk

Superior Rooms - Our Superior Rooms are spacious and elegant ideal for both leisure and business travellers Guests can comfortably be entertained in a mini-lounge area and a writing desk complete with stationery is ideal for catching up on correspondence All rooms have an en-suite bathroom which vary in size depending on the location of the room equipped with shower bath basin and lavatory The rooms have a choice of twin or king sized beds

Luxury Rooms - Our Luxury Rooms have an understated old-world charm complemented by modern luxury for the discerning traveler They are larger in size than Superior Rooms with more spacious sitting areas and en-suite bathrooms Luxury Rooms also offer a choice of twin or king-size beds with a view choice of our magnificent gardens Table Mountain or a balcony overlooking a tinkling

Accommodation for the physically challenged - We have two purpose built Luxury Rooms to accommodate and meet the special needs of physically disabled guests The bathrooms have been adapted with wider bathroom doors a low sink bath with handrails and open cupboards for easy access The shower with a movable showerhead has been left open with a chair for convenience These rooms are situated in Green Park and offer views overlooking a picturesque courtyard with fountain

Junior Suites - For guests requiring more specious accommodation our Junior Suites comprise of a bedroom with a larger lounge area than our rooms Some of the Junior Suites offer a separate lounge whilst others offer an open plan lounging area An option of twin or king-size beds are offered with the choice of views ranging from our landscaped gardens Table Mountain a private courtyard with fountain or a private garden overlooking one of the swimming pools

Executive Suites - Our Executive Suites are grander and more distinctive than the Junior Suites offering spacious open-plan lounges and dining areas With the option of twin or king-size beds and views of either Table Mountain or a courtyard fountain all have private balconies with garden furniture All the suites feature newly renovated luxurious marble bathrooms with walk-in dressing rooms

Deluxe Suites - Our Deluxe Suites are larger than Executive Suites with a separate living and dining area The Deluxe Suites offer twin or king-size beds with a private courtyard and a balcony overlooking a picturesque courtyard with fountain or a private garden overlooking one of the swimming pools All the suites offer luxurious marble bathrooms with walk-in dressing rooms A kitchenette wet bar is provided with small microwave washbasin and general kitchen utensils in selected suites
