Situated on a hill amidst vineyards along the Stellenbosch Hills Wine Route just outside Stellenbosch Allegria Guesthouse offers stunning mountain views in a tranquil and inspirational setting and is pervaded with an air of peace and tranquillity offering sublime panoramas

Allegria Guesthouse is established in a completely renovated Tuscan style villa The villa lies on a 2 hectare country estate entirely surrounded by vineyards A portion of our grounds which consist of excellent soils is planted with organically cultivated Shiraz grapes

Allegria means joy and pleasure This is what we hope all our guests will experience A stay in our attractive guesthouse will make a positive contribution thereto The views all around are breathtaking rolling vineyards and mountain chains as far as the eye can see To put it briefly these are restful and inspiring surroundings which form the best possible base to explore Stellenbosch the Winelands and the Cape

Accommodation

Allegria comprises six spacious rooms in a majestic villa Each room is individually and stylish decorated Contemporary yet with a touch of Africa offering all imaginable comfort

Each room has been given the name of a typically South- African animal The stylish and contemporary design is tuned in with the respective animal and is therefore different for each room

All the rooms have XL beds air-conditioning or a fan heating TV safe bar fridge hair dryer coffee tea facilities clock radio and a private patio with a mountain view

Dining

Body and soul are well cared for In addition to the very comfortable rooms with their XL beds our guests are spoiled with a delicious breakfast which is - weather permitting - served on the inner courtyard The breakfast we serve is comprehensive with fresh fruit home-baked bread fruit juices and yoghurt serials and muesli free-range eggs prepared to your order and a delectable muffin

In season we also serve light evening meals cheese platter salads Our honesty bar contains a hand-picked selection of fine wines all produced by neighbouring estates Later on the day you can sip a glass of wine beside the large 20 m swimming pool

Activities Facilities

There is a wide selection of restaurants wine estates and golf courses within easy reach In addition there are endless possibilities for daytrips of around 50 km e g to Robben Island the Cape of Good Hope Simon s Town Boulders beach Franschhoek Paarl Chapman s Peak Hout Bay and many more

There is also a large swimming pool a lounge with satellite TV internet access and computers available for use Or you could take a lesuirely stroll around our gardens and vineyards There is also a business centre available

The impressive works of art in this lounge were made by three artists from the Philippi township Allegria is a perfect base to discover The Winelands Cape Town and beyond The owners have even plotted some routes for exiting day trips
